ABOUT ADELINA AMOUTERU
My name is Adelina Amouteru, but I am known in the Dagger Society as the White Wolf. I caught the blood fever when I was young, but I survived with only the loss of my left eye and silver hair. My father is abusive, and one night a man came to our house. My father agreed to give me to him as his mistress since a malfetto wife would damage his reputation. I ran away, but he found me. Out of my fear, I accidently created an illusion that made his horse spook and trample him. I was caught by the Inquisitors, who are like the police, and charged with killing my father. Luckily, Enzo rescued me from burning at the stake, and he brought me to the Fortunata Court. The Fortunata Court is a pleasure court, but it is also a useful cover for the Dagger Society that makes a lot of money. I was accepted into the Dagger Society under the name of the White Wolf. I had also
been spying for Teren because he held my sister hostage, and he threatened to torture her. Enzo, who I have fallen in love with, challenged Teren to a duel in exchange for another Dagger's life. It was my job to make Enzo look like Teren, through an illusion, so that Teren's guards couldn't hurt either of them. The illusion was so good that when I tried to inflict pain upon Teren, it was actually Enzo. This gave Teren the chance to kill Enzo. I was taken underground to a Dagger safe house, and they made Violetta (my little sister) and I leave. It is my turn to hurt, and Teren had better watch out.
